Soundproof Booth Installation Work for Studio

Others

An irregularly shaped soundproof booth was installed in a studio located in Osaka City.

For this project, Sonora Technology manufactured and installed the soundproof room structure and soundproof doors, while Nihon Onkyo Engineering handled the interior and exterior finishing work.

The soundproof room features an irregular (pentagonal) floor plan tailored to the installation space, utilizing steel acoustic panels for the walls, ceiling, and floor sub-base. The ventilation system is equipped with silencers for both supply and exhaust streams, and vibration-isolating rubber is incorporated to reduce vibration transmission to the floor.

Sound Insulation Performance

The guaranteed sound isolation performance values based on JIS A 1417:2000 are set as follows:

Frequency [Hz]631252505001k2k4k8k
Guaranteed Sound Reduction [dB](16)24343841465152
*63 Hz is a reference value

After completion of installation, on-site sound isolation measurements were conducted (Measured on September 12, 2026 / Measurement by: Nihon Onkyo Engineering).

Key Points

  • Custom design with an irregular (pentagonal) floor plan customized to the installation space
  • Group collaboration execution combining soundproof room/door manufacturing & construction (Sonora Technology) with interior & exterior finishing (Nihon Onkyo Engineering)
  • Acoustic silencers for both air supply and exhaust ensure proper ventilation while maintaining high sound isolation
  • Vibration-isolating rubber mitigates vibration transfer to the building floor structure
  • Based on the performance warranty terms, secondary countermeasures will be conducted free of charge if post-installation performance testing does not meet guaranteed levels
