Significance of technical information disclosure
08/24/2024
Sonora’s website has approximately over 300 pages.(Japanese Website)
Most of those pages are “Techint & articles” and “Sales achievement.”
As of July 2024, around 170 pages of Techint & articles have been published.
Techint & articles contain our own unique views on noise control, including sound insulation and sound absorption, excluding any parts related to our core technologies, such as trade secrets.
There is a term called an “open-close strategy.”
* Open and close strategy: Keeping the core part (competitive area) closed, while non-core and peripheral areas (non-competitive area) disclosed. (our Techint & articles are not that something really special though…)
Regardless of whether it is paid or unpaid, disclosing information publicly available has not only disadvantages but many advantages.
In particular, our noise control industry is a niche field, and noise control technology is not yet academically probable, so there are many misunderstandings, assumptions and even cheats.
Therefore, by disclosing technical information, we have the advantage that we can help to counteract such negative aspects, and by equipping our users with the correct knowledge, we can help them understand our competitive advantage in the industry.
Furthermore, by disclosing information, we will be able to increase our greater awareness of technological development internally, which will lead to promote technological development.
However, in order to state correct knowledge, which is Sonora’s perspective though, we have no choice but to include a certain amount of negative comments about the industry or our competitors, which may be perceived as a negative campaign.
-> Conversely, we would be happy to receive counter comments from our competitors, although we have not received any so far.
For these reasons, we would like to continue to disclose our information to the public.
