Method for sealing a cable port

In Anechoic chambers or boxes, there are instances where cables are passed through form the outside to the inside. For example, this might occur when setting up a noise meter outside and use a cable to a microphone inside.

In such cases, a cable port is provided for passing cables through the Anechoic chamber or Box.
However, simply passing the cable through does not prevent sound from entering through the port, so it is necessary to seal the port after passing the cable. Therefore, We recommend using soundproof covers.

The following is an explanation about soundproof covers.

A cable port with cables passed through a Soundproof cover bolt.
The back of the soundproof cover has shape-memory rubber attached. Tighten the bolt over the wiring to seal the rubber.
By filing the gaps after passing the cables in this way, you can maintain soundproofing performance.

(!)  If the wiring is thick or if pipes need to be passed through, this method may be difficult, so alternative soundproofing methods will be used.
