Japan’s First? Acoustic measurement in an semi-anechoic chamber with an environment of 200°C difference (-50°C~+150°C)

08/05/2024

Sonora delivered a constant temperature semi-anechoic chamber to a certain automobile manufacturer in 2011.
* External dimensions: W4,500×L3,500×H3,095

This semi-anechoic chamber is operated by cycling the indoor temperature between -50°C and +150°C and conducting the acoustic measurement of automobiles in this environment.

Sonora Technology carried out the whole design of the semi-anechoic chamber and air conditioning system.

  • Ensure high sound insulation and sound absorption properties as well as heat insulation
  • Prevent condensation caused by temperature changes in the low to high frequency range.

Although the specific design method is not disclosed, we have designed a special semi-anechoic chamber.

Recently, one of our engineers visited the customer site. Although it has been quite a few years since the delivery, both the semi-anechoic chamber and the air-conditioning system were still in operation without any problems.

When a certain automobile manufacturer initially approached us for the inquiry of the semi-anechoic chamber, we promised that we would clear such a project with a difficult task and guarantee the performance. Whereas, the customer told us that they had consulted several manufacturers of anechoic chambers, however, Sonora Technology was the only one that promised to implement it.

And there was a signboard in front of our semi-anechoic chamber with the following statement:

Japan’s First! A semi-anechoic chamber with a temperature difference of 200°C

This statement made us realize again that our company had been able to overcome challenging tasks.

Sonora has a lot of achievements in such various difficult tasks.

Anechoic-chamber manufacturers cannot simply construct anechoic chambers. We need to make proposals tailored to the customers’ measurement requirements. Even if you think it would be difficult to realize your project, please feel free to contact us, Sonora Technology.
